Trevor Layne

Trevor started learning salsa back in 1999 attending various classes in London, settling initially at Salsa Cubana where he learnt La Rueda, Rumba as well as Son. He started teaching in 2001 at Salsa Cubana for Homero Gonzales. In this same year he also started attending classes at MamboCity, soaking up all the "shines" footwork he could get his feet around, tapping into the knowledge of the many top names in international salsa who were guest of MamboCity. Before long accepted an invitation to join the team teaching initially at Bootsy Brogans Wembley then Tudor Rose.

   
Trevor still currently teaches at Bootsy's Brogans and can be seen at most MamboCity events. Trevor is also known to make guest teaching appearances in and out of London and has appeared on Sky TV (he keeps it quiet). Best known for his unique dance style, easy lead and fun but clear teaching techniques, Trevor has studied and been influenced by many top teachers and talents over the years such as; The Cobo Bros, Nelson Flores, Santo Rico, Frankie Martinez, the list goes on.

Currently only teaching On1 and can follow as well as lead, Trevor has also now establishing himself as an On2 dancer.


Trevor teaches using a mix of dance styles and focuses on lead and following techniques, flow, connection and the all important HAVING FUN !!!
