Alexandre
Amoroso
A thirst for knowledge has driven Alexandre in all spheres of his life – salsa is no exception.
Having graduated from law school and looking for a new challenge from his practice of martial arts, Alexandre embarked on his dance training in 2001, beginning his journey at the Hampstead School of Latin Dance and quickly undertaking an intense exploration of the burgeoning London scene, learning from early notable names such as Homero Gonzales and the Tropicana and Salsoteca dance schools.
An invitation to join the Diablo Dance Company (European Salsa Slam 2005 champions) under the direction of Laith Sami in 2004 catapulted him onto the performance circuit. He was one of the original members of the group,

touring the UK for over a year and appearing on national television.
Alexandre’s precise and technically explicit teaching is gaining increasing recognition. His focus on crisp, clear leading and smooth, inventive moves, combined with a dedicated and patient approach, dabbled with humour, has proved to be a heady cocktail and made him a sought after instructor. He currently teaches for a number of high profile London dance organisations, including MamboCity, Simply Salsa, Salsa UK and Salsoteca and has also been invited to teach internationally at events in Hungary and Sweden.
