Burju and Victor have been dancing Mambo since 2000. They are the co-founders and directors of Hacha Y Machete Dance Company, Boston’s first New York Style dance company, well known for their innovative and dynamic choreography, as well as their passionate and soulful dancing. Through hard work and never ending passion and energy they managed to be the first from Boston to take the stage at a world salsa congress in Los Angeles and have since then traveled all over the United States and several other countries. In 2003 Victor and Burju were invited to join the Fogarate Dance Project under the direction of Juan Matos. Burju was later invited to become one of Juan’s partners and has since toured with him to many countries in Europe including Italy, Turkey and Spain

Sasha Jimenez and Hector “Negrito” De Jesus
Sasha and Negrito are two of the youngest members of the team. At ages 13 and 18 respectively, they have both been dancing salsa for several years. They trained with youth teams in Springfield Massachusetts and then joined Hacha Y Machete in December of 2003. They started performing with the professional company soon after on many stages in the United States. Their performances are full of charisma, soul, and confidence.
