Lee's dance experience reaches back 20 years, 16 years of that being teaching experience. At the age of 10 he was taken to a dance class with mum and dad, where he met new friends and started to attend the Saturday morning class. He soon became hooked and after receiving 95.5% in his first dance exam, decided to take his new found talent to the next level. Lee started competing at the age of 11, four years later Lee was ranked 2 nd in the world in his age group and won the world Jive competition. At the age of 18 Lee moved to Holland to further his career, this is where he gained his teaching experience, running a dance school of over 1800 pupils per week. Mean while his competitive career saw him and partner Sonja travelling all over Europe dancing in World and European Championships representing Holland, their highest world ranking as Amateur was 28th .

In 95 Lee returned to the UK after missing a bit of the home comforts and mentality of good old blighty. He took on a few office based jobs, but his real passion to teach.
In 2000 Lee setup Absolute Salsa. since then, his company has become the biggest and best in the East Midlands teaching over 500 people per week through their network of classes. He has now taught all over the Uk, from Torquay to Edinburgh, and Liverpool to Norwich, he has worked for every Major UK Salsa Promoter and can be seen teaching at just about every major weekend festival.
In 2006 his latest accolade was to teach at The Uk Congress and being voted runner up in the UK's Best Teacher award. Lee's relaxed, friendly and fun approach to dance makes dancing accessible to every one. Come and see for your self.
